This notice explains what personal information Skip Distance uses and why.
Who is responsible
S P Technical Inspection Ltd (company number 09068004, 17 Easby Lane, Great Ayton, TS9 6JU, United Kingdom) is the controller. Contact: hello@skipdistance.app.
What we collect
- If you use the free bench: nothing that identifies you. Your colour scheme is remembered in your own browser.
- If you buy a plan: your email address, the plan you bought and when it ends. A training centre may also give us the names or email addresses of its trainees.
- If you use a paid bench: your practice results, such as test scores and reports, so that you or your centre can see them.
- If you arrive through a partner's link: a note of which partner sent you, so they can be credited.
- If you write to us: your message and address.
- Technical records: our hosting provider logs requests, including IP addresses, to keep the service secure.
We do not see or store your card details. Payments are handled by Paddle.com, which acts as the seller and has its own privacy notice.
Why we use it
- To provide the service you asked for and manage your access (contract).
- To keep the service secure and improve it (legitimate interests).
- To keep financial records (legal obligation).
- To send product news, only if you asked for it (consent). You can stop these at any time.
Who we share it with
Only the providers we need to run the service: Cloudflare (hosting and security), Paddle (payments) and our email delivery provider. The pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google when a page loads. Some providers process data outside the UK and the European Economic Area, under the safeguards the law requires. We do not sell personal information and we do not use advertising trackers.
How long we keep it
Account and practice records are kept while your access is active and for 12 months afterwards. Financial records are kept for six years, as UK law requires.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to hello@skipdistance.app. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office or to the data protection authority where you live.
Children
Skip Distance is not intended for anyone under 16.
